All in the Family
We welcomed a new grandson this week, my daughter's third son. It should really be no surprise that there would be photos taken of this precious new baby, lots of them, since there seems to be a genetic predisposition to photography in my family - from my grandfather on down to my daughter. The only real surprise is that it's the baby's 5 year old brother taking the photos this time. And so another family tradition is carried on.

Visual Void...
It's Alphabe-Thursday time again. This week you might expect to venture vast distances in our study of the letter V. Normally I'd be taking you on a little virtual vacation to Patagonian Chile, but on Monday I hit the road, traveling west across the desert from Utah to California where I'm visiting my daughter and her family for a few days. It's not truly a vacation, but in the spirit of veracity, my visit is in preparation for my newest grandchild, due to arrive in a few weeks. It's an exciting time, but as for this post, sorry; it's a visual void with respect to Patagonia. Just sit back and enjoy the desert scenery. I'll be back with more from Patagonia next week.
Don't forget to visit Mrs. Jenny's to view the various entries of the other Alphabetarians.

Where Has the Time Gone?
I've been visiting my daughter this past week. She and her family live in my childhood home. A friend I’ve known since Kindergarten was in the neighborhood, taking care of her elderly parents. She stopped in to say hi. I hadn't seen her for many years.
"Has it really been a decade?," she asked. "A decade?!," I exclaimed. "Try FOUR!"
A lot has happened in those years. College. Marriages. Children. Grandchildren. Successes. Losses. More good than bad - like this little man turning 5. "Has it really been half a decade?," I think to myself. "Wow. Where did the time go?"
Saturday Centus time again over at Mrs. Jenny's and this week she's waxing nostalgic. The prompt is in red above, plus she gave us 100 words. Hope you're having a happy walk down memory lane yourself. Check out what the other Centusians are thinking about by clicking HERE.

Hot Fun in the Summertime...
I guess technically it's not summer yet, but it sure felt like it today. And what do you do when it's hot and sunny outside? You find a place to cool off.
It's my daughter's birthday today. Truth is, though, that she's one of the greatest gifts in MY life...and it just keeps getting better. Not only do I get her and her cute hubby, but what about these two little monkeys that come with the package!?
Happy Bday, baby girl. You are the best daughter any mom could ever hope for! I love you.
