Winter is Losing Her Grip

There's a good-sized reservoir a few miles from our home. In the winter it freezes over and crazy people walk on it, snow mobile on it and ice fish on it. Personally, I think it looks treacherous. Even though we've had plenty of cold weather this year, I don't think it ever got a good solid freeze on it. I kept waiting to read about someone falling through the ice. Whether that happened or not, I don't know. I hope not.

But now, whatever ice and snow was there is starting to melt away and patches of glassy blue are starting to appear. It's a good sign that spring is on its way. And none too soon, from my point of view.
