My, What Big Teeth You Have!

It started off as a perfectly ordinary Monday, even a pretty one with the sun softly lighting the snowy hillside.

That is, until I remembered what day it really was.

Monday, the day of my dentist appointment.

I don't know about any of you, but going to the dentist is definitely not high on my list of fun things to do.

Ah yes, the dreaded ROOM Number 3, looking all cheery and bright. Yea sure.

Until you round the corner and see the shiny instruments just waiting for you.

They look more like instruments of torture, if you ask me.

Let's not forget the torture masters, themselves, the dentist and his lovely assistant, staring down at you from above as you lay helpless in the chair, unable to even utter the slightest complaint.

And you, mouth open wide, tongue fat and numb, feeling totally foolish and vulnerable.

But all's well that ends well...about four hours later when the novocaine finally wore off and I could smile once more.

Happy Monday. Hope yours was simply delightful!

You captured the dental office in fine fashion. Love the shot of the patient looking up at the dentist and assistants faces.
I love the dentist. My father was one and he would never hurt me.

What a completely fun post. You really did capture the dental office as VK said. Creative and great shots!

The look like instruments of torture because they ARE instruments of torture!

Great pics and a fun post, Anita.

I'm trying to envision their response when you asked to photograph their beady eyes looking down at you.

Ouch! I love that you photographed your visit though. What did the dentist and assistant say??

This is my least favorite place to go! The tools do look like they could be used to torture someone.

Vern and Stacia, there was no asking...after all, my mouth was full of hands and instruments...I just laid my phone on my "bib" and pointed it at them.

As for reaction...they did stop what they were doing for a second as if puzzled by what was going on, and then carried on as if nothing had happened.

I'm guessing that as soon as I left they were asking each other "what was up with that?!" I'm sure that most of their patients don't take pix of them in the middle of a procedure.
