Literal or Literary?

I don't know where the week went, but maybe it's something to do with having the creepin' crud. You slow down, but the clock just keeps ticking on and on and on...with you or without you. So, here we are at Saturday again...Saturday Centus time and I'm not feeling very literary...and this week's prompt? Two peas in a pod...

How many pea pods do you have to open before you can find one that has only two peas in it, and two that are nearly identical, as the idiom implies? Needless to say, I didn't shell a whole pot of peas today...I only opened one and that was enough for me to prove my point...

Now, if you want an example of the idiom and not the literal, just take Jake and Albert...they are definitely like two peas in a pod, although they came from different pods. They couldn't be more alike and more different at the same time. Funny boys, these two.

An interesting thought about the actual odds of finding two peas in a pod - and i loved the pictures, they could be twins!

I'm not sure why but those photos make me laugh. Maybe it's their innocent but knowing look that's exactly the same on each furry face. I love your take on this week's prompt, Anita. I also appreciate your point about two peas in a pod. I never quite "got" that phrase.
Be well.
