This past week was in the 70s and sunny...

Fall Not Fade Away

Each day I savor the rich colors of fall, knowing full well that I will awake one day...soon...too soon... and they will have gone for another season.

There's Something About Fall

The air is crisper.

The days begin to be a little shorter.

The light is a little more subdued.

The colors are a little softer.

We're all a little more relaxed.

Fall Roars in Like Thunder

...or perhaps I should say WITH thunder. We had some wild and crazy weather today. One day it's summer and the next day it's not!

All Over the Map

Snowing this morning. By this time last year, we were "winding down" on our ski season (meaning we'd had so much great snow we were beginning to get sort of ho-hum about the whole thing). Today, finally, for the first time this season, we threw our skis in the truck and went. Considering that we live 15-20 minutes from an Olympic venue, that's kind of sad. But we went and it was fun.

On the way back we took a little detour to a county park that I'd never seen...from the looks of things, you would never have known that it was snowing that morning. 

And then, later in the afternoon, another storm...full on blizzard-like. Crazy weather, but we love this place.

Frozen Landscape

We've been in a freeze thaw freeze thaw freeze thaw cycle the past few weeks. Never know from one hour to the next what it's going to be...

What?! A New Year?!

When I awoke it was 2012. A new year with new expectations and new ideas and new things to do. Really?! So soon? Can't we just have one more day to not be overwhelmed by it all?

Happy New Year to all of you...even you overachievers who have cranked out your resolution lists and waxed poetic on your blogs before the sun even came up this morning! Geez-Louise...take it easy...you're going to burn out before January 5. Heehee.
