So, I was weeding the yard this morning. It rained yesterday, so it seemed like a good time to get after some weeds. Just minding my own business, thinking to myself...'hmmm, I wonder if the rattle snakes are more prone to be out sunning themselves AFTER a good rain'...when I looked up, and lo and behold, sure enough...GOOD GRIEF, that ain't no GARDEN snake...nosireebob!
The hubs, otherwise known as Snake Hunter, came to the rescue (me AND the snake)...and kindly relocated the uninvited guest to a spot away from homes, livestock and hikers.
Good luck, Mr. Snake. Have a nice life...somewhere away from our house...Oh, and tell your friends that they shouldn't be dropping by anytime soon either!

Awesome sequence of the snake. We finally solved without damage. Lucky that you saw her before an attack.

We had a big gopher snake in our yard a couple months ago and now I don't even think my story counts.
