Never Look Back

Saturday...and you know what that means. Saturday Centus time and Mrs. Jenny's assignment is 16. Yup, that's it. The number 16 and 16 words to go with it, but not just ANY it...it is myself at 16. Ugh, not the happiest point in my life, for sure. But, a good challenge to get outside myself a bit and create the images to go with the words. So, here it is:

16. Me? Where?
I can. Just not gonna. Don't wanna.
It’s dark. I’m losing myself. Help...please?

Fourteen.

Fifteen.

16.

As always, I suggest you hop on over to Jenny Matlock's to check out what other Centusians were doing when THEY were 16...or at least what they have to say about it now.

Oh, dear. This does look like you were not in the best place at 16. But hey, look at you now!

Which gives me new hope for struggling teenagers in general.

=)

You spun this one so well, Anita. I love the youthful lingo ("not gonna, don't wanna..") yet the deeper message is something we can all connect with. Great centus!

I would only go back to 16 with the courage and knowledge I have now. I understand it not being the best time. I really like your creative use of the photography to illustrate your words.

Sixteen (and that whole teen era thing) was not my happies time ever either!

I like how these pictures illustrate the angst.

Although angst may be too gentle of a word to describe those years.

I admire your creative take here!
