Just Call Me Imelda

Who runs through airports or train stations in heels?

I admit I used to be a shoe junkie. Couldn't come out of a shoe store empty-handed. I had every imaginable kind. Even a few stilettos and some platforms.

I see women in ridiculous (nevermind EX-PEN-SIVE) shoes all in the name of fashion - the kind that should come with a podiatrist's card in the box! Who designed those shoes anyway? Probably some man who hates women. There. I said it.

Nowadays I’m into “sensible” shoes. Maybe my age showing? Or maybe I’m finally living the life I've always wanted?!

Fashion will never take me where I really want to go.

This post is linked up to Mrs. Jenny's Saturday Centus. This week's prompt was a photo of a woman in strappy sandals on her way to somewhere.  Maybe to the podiatrist's office? Find out what the other Centusians had to say about it by clicking HERE!

I'm with you - comfort over fashion, every time!

I see some of the "torture chambers for feet" that women wear, and wonder what their feet and legs will be like when they're older.

Great job!

I never could wear those pointy toe shoes but when I worked I did wear heels that were uncomfortable. I'm no fashionista either LOL.

We are on the same page shoe-wise.

And usually otherwise.

I agree, shoes need to be comfie, I have a lot of walking to do. Besides, have you seen the feet of women who wear heels for a living?

Having to limit the number of pairs I have is one thing I don't like about the road.

Such beautiful photos. I loved my little walk through the woods, and I'm so glad I had on my comfortable shoes. laurie @ http://dealingwithmyinnercritic.blogspot.com/

Love that. And totally agree about the heels -- I actually quit wearing them when I was quite young so I don't think it's only age.

What a fun direction you took this!

I am not a shoe person!

Except for Keans, hiking boots, and my walking shoes!
