Quintessential Patagonia

The beauty of Chilean Patagonia is often hard to describe but once you've seen it, you never forget it. This week for Alphabe-Thursday, where we honor the quirky letter Q,  I'll try to show you some of the qualities of this exquisite land that are quintessentially Patagonia. I think you'll see what I mean...

The dramatic skies...

 The wide open spaces...

 The windswept landscapes...
The ruggedness of the towering mountains...

The gem-like colors of the water...

The golden poplars (los alamos) in the fall...

The vibrant rainbows seen almost daily...

The roads that are intertwined with river beds...

The sunsets and wind-sheered lenticular clouds...
The soft sunrises...

The ever-present caracaras...

The swift and powerful rivers...
The jagged mountain tops....
The glacier covered mountain giants...
The lush bogs that fill the glacial cut valleys and fjords...

The majestic scenes that defy description and inspire awe and wonder.
This is quintessential Patagonia that I know and love.

Head on over to Mrs. Jenny's and see what the other Alphabetarians have waiting for you by clicking HERE.

Your quintessentially Patagonia shows it to be very pretty. I might like to go if it were not so far. I know I would like the rainbows.

Those patches of golden leaves are really magical to me!

I love visiting this special place with you!

I wonder if I could muddle through the language there to visit someday?
