It wasn't much warmer today...still didn't get above the teens...but I bundled up and ventured out.
There's a pond nearby and I decided to focus my attention on the icy "skin" that had taken shape over the past few very cold days. I was staring into the water with my camera when a man came out of his house and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was photographing the ice. He laughed and said, "when you live here you don't even see the ice." He seemed a bit surprised when I told him that I DO live here.
If you take the time to notice it, the ice can be quite beautiful.
