Change Is Coming

There's something in the air. It's a little crisper. It has a different smell to it. The seasons are about to change again. I can just feel it.

While some of the wildflowers are still full of life and color, they are the harbingers of fall. The big smiling sunflowers that say "look at me...enjoy me while you can". And the happy daisies with their crisp white petals and bright yellow pin cushion centers. 

The once brilliant greens are giving way to more subtle, paler shades. The ferns and other plants that once reached upward upward toward the warm sun are now starting to look weary from the summer heat.

The leaves are not yet falling, but soon, yes soon.

Once dazzling yellow blossoms now leave dried seed pods behind to be cast into the wind.

Yes, there's a change coming. I can feel it in the air.
