It can be nearly pitch black outside, and yet the amazing computer that powers our eyes knows how to adjust to make things visible. As I was preparing to climb into bed, I looked out the window across the valley to the north. Even in the darkness, I could see a dense fog hanging over the valley floor. A few house lights and an occasional car created a soft glow. Leaving the camera shutter open for 4+ minutes allowed me to capture what I saw... or at least, kind of. I guess, as is often the case, a picture doesn't quite do it justice. As my young friend, Katie, would say - you had to be there.
