Nesting

It's been hard, of late, to keep up with my blog. With the nicer weather, there are so many other things to do, including taking care of all the things we couldn't (or didn't want to) do while there was snow on the ground.

It's kind of a double edged sword. The nice weather brings many new things to photograph, but at the same time, who wants to sit in front of the computer when the sun is shining and the wildflowers are blooming?!

We came across this little nest today as we were working in the yard.

And here's a little nest building of our own...

Cougar update: seems as though we had another visit last night. This time the big cat discovered some old (like several years old) Christmas candy that had been thrown out as part of our spring (now summer) clean-up. Apparently he didn't find the mint chocolate to his liking. Seems that he licked it a few times and left it behind, deciding it was not his thing. We're hoping that he's now satisfied that there aren't any goodies at our house that he wants and he'll be moving on to other more fertile hunting grounds.
